Happy Easter!

So...its been forever since I have updated. Everytime I think about updating, I realize I have so much to do that it is overwhelming. So, instead of trying to get caught up, I am just going to ignore the last 4 months for right now. I am just going to try to post whats been going on and then play catch up later.

Haley had an Easter Egg hunt at school and at church and loved both of them. On Easter Sunday, her uncles hid some eggs out back so she could hunt again.

My parents went out of town at the last minute for Easter (they went to Dallas to be with my grandparents when Granddaddy had his pace maker put in), so we spent the day with just the Hale kids. Haley had strep throat, so we decided not to infect anyone else.

Thanksgiving

We got up on Thanksgiving morning and watched the Thanksgiving Day parade on tv. We went to Aunt Jennifer's to eat an early dinner. All the food was yummy!! The Hale's all left from there to go to the lake until Saturday. We had a great time just hanging out together.

Haley's Thanksgiving Feast

Haley had a Thanksgiving Feast at her school. They wore cute Indian shirts that their teacher helped them make and we had lunch. The kids also made a necklace from colored pasta. Cooper came to her party and she liked showing all her friends her "little brother".

AJ went in to take Haley to the bathroom before we went to bed, as he does every night, and this is what he found. I knew she had been loud after we put her to bed, but I never would have guessed this. She had taken her pjs off and found an outfit in her closet. She put the skirt on inside out and got the matching shirt on about halfway. I cant believe this was even comfortable, but she was sleeping good in this position!

Cooper's 1st Bath

Cooper finally got his 1st bath when he was 15 days old. Haley wanted to help, so she watched from the step. She was so cute watching him. Cooper didnt like it at first, but once I layed a washcloth on his chest/stomach to keep him warm, he loved it.

Happy Halloween!

Haley was a ladybug for Halloween and Cooper was a giraffe. We took Haley trick-or-treating at Publix and then only to a few houses on our street, because it was rainy and cold. Hopefully next year we will have better weather!

My mom took me to the hospital while AJ and his mom stayed at Haley's party at school. Once AJ got Haley settled at home and down for a nap, he met us at the hospital. I got my IV in around 2:30 pm and my doctor broke my water not long after that. They started pitocin around 3:30 or 4. Around 6:30 I felt like I needed to start pushing, and pushed from around 6:40-7pm. Cooper was born at 7:00pm on Wednesday, October 28, 2009.

He was a big boy(especially for being over 3 weeks early). He weighed in at 7lbs and 6 oz and was 19.5 inches long! I am so glad he decided to come early. The doctor said he would have been over 9 lbs if I had carried full term!

My parents were both at the hospital along with Matthew and Courtney. Mom was in the delivery room with AJ and I, just like she was with Haley. She even cut the umbilical cord because AJ didnt want to (he says it's the drs job!). After my family saw Cooper and held him, they went home to relieve AJ's parents of Haley duty so they could come meet their new grandson!

We stayed in the hospital about 24 hours and came home Thursday night. I was excited to get home so Haley could meet her little brother. Because of the swine flu outbreak, noone under the age of 18 was allowed in the hospital.

We are excited to get settled in and start this new journey as a family of 4!!

Halloween Party at preschool

I was so excited about going to Haley's preschool Halloween party, that I went to it for a little while, even though the dr had told me that morning that I needed to be admitted to the hospital. I had a doctors appt that morning and my dr said that Cooper would be coming that day. I didnt want to miss her first school party. The kids went outside to a "pumpkin patch" and got to pick one to bring home with them. They also got to go trick-or-treating at the other classrooms.

While Haley napped, AJ and Uncle Jacob cleaned out Haley's pumpkin. Then the 3 of us took turns tracing the outline of Elmo on the pumpkin so AJ could carve it out. Haley woke up when it was almost done being carved. Once it got dark, we took it outside and put the candle in it, so she could see it. She was kinda scared of it and wouldnt stand next to it to get her picture taken unless I was standing right next to her. She really liked it though and wanted to show everyone her "Elmo Pumpkin".

Visit from Nanny and Granddaddy

Nanny and Granddaddy flew in on Saturday Oct 3 for 2 weeks to stay with us. Since I was on bedrest, they came to help with Haley, cook, and help around the house. It was so nice having them here with us. Haley loved having Granddaddy as her playmate. They colored, read books, played play doh, did puzzles and everything else you could think of. We all were very sad to see them go, and cant wait for them to come back to visit once Cooper is born.

I got off bedrest on Friday, Oct. 9th at 34 weeks. I really was looking forward to this fall when we could take Haley apple picking and to the pumpkin patch like we did last year. I am glad that we got the opportunity to go. We went to R and A Apple Orchards like we did last year. It is a small orchard that is family operated. Haley liked picking the apples and eating them along the way. My parents went with us this year (last year only my mom came).

Bedrest with Cooper

I had my regular 32 week doctors appt on Wednesday Sept 23rd. They checked to see if I had dilated at all, since I had pre-term labor with Haley. I was 1-2 cm and 50-60% effaced. The nurse practicioner that I saw wasnt very concerned, but after an afternoon phone call to my dr, they decided I needed to go to the hospital to be monitored. I was in the hospital until Friday afternoon and then was put on bedrest at home. Haley wasnt too sure about all the things hooked up to me, but she finally warmed up and sat with me on the hospital bed. I missed being at home with her and her sweet hugs.

Sesame Street Live: Elmo's Green Thumb

We took Haley to see Elmo Live at Phillips Arena. AJ had a client from work that has a 2 year old grandson, so we invited them to go and AJ had the company pay for the evening. We rented a limo and went to dinner at Max's Coal Oven Pizzeria. The kids loved eating there. They gave Haley and the little boy with us a ball of pizza dough to play with while we waited for our pizza to cook. Haley didnt realize it was pizza dough and kept calling it playdough. The pizza was really good too!!

After dinner we rode to the arena and walked around waiting for Elmo to start. Haley LOVED it!! We sat on the front row of the lower level, so we could see really well and since there was noone in front of us, the kids could dance and move around the whole show. It was great!!

Haley was scared when we first got in the limo...she wasnt sure what to think. It didnt take long for her to get comfortable though - she loved being able to sit wherever she wanted without a carseat.

Great Granddaddy and Nanny Hale

Haley had so much fun playing with Great Granddaddy and Great Nanny while they were in town. She put bandaids on Granddaddys boo boos and even tried to fix his hair for him. She really warmed up to him while they were here. She loved playing with Nanny too - and thought it was so funny when Nanny sat on her lap so I could take a picture of them together! We just wish they would move to Atlanta so we could see them more often...maybe someday! :)

Haley started preschool this fall at Celebration Academy, a church preschool about 5 minutes from our house. She goes from 9am-1pm on Mondays and Wednesdays.

The Sunday of Labor Day weekend we went to Stone Mountain for the day and bought an adventure pass. We rode a boat, went to the petting zoo, rode the gondala to the top of the mountain and did the ropes course. We also stayed and watched the laser show. Haley was great all day despite not getting a nap. We met 2 other sets of aunts and uncles there and had so much fun with everyone. Tina, Luis and their 3 kids joined us from Douglasville and then Fran, Mike and 2 of their kids came up from Augusta. It was fun spending time with everyone and watching the kids interact.

Tony, Dawn and the kids came up to visit us for Labor Day weekend. We had lots of fun just hanging out with them. We cooked out steaks and watched the bulldogs and the gators play. We also went shopping at the mall for a few hours! We have so much fun iwth them when they come to visit.

Watermelon

Our neighbor bought 9 small watermelon plants and gave us 2 to plant in our backyard. Watermelon is Haley's favorite fruit, so I thought it would be fun for her to watch some grow. The 2 plants have overtaken our backyard. Thank goodness daddy loves Haley so much, otherwise he would have probably dug them up already. I cant believe how well they have done. We have 4 pretty big watermelon growing right now. Whenever anyone comes to visit, Haley has to take them to the backyard to show off her watermelon. She is so proud of them. I cant wait for the watermelon to finish growing so we can pick them and Haley can eat her very own watermelon. I think next year we will have to buy the mini watermelon seeds and hope it doesnt get quite so big!

I had a friend make this cute dress for Haley. I put it on her the other day just for her to try it on to see if it fit, and Haley didnt want to take it off. I told her we would go out front and take some pictures in her new dress and she was excited. I tried to have her pose by putting her hand on the column, but she wanted to put both hands on the column. Oh the mind of a 2 year old. I still thought I got some cute ones!

AJ got home early on his birthday and wanted to take advantage of the "free golf on your birthday" deal at a course about 5 minutes from us, so Haley and I went with him to ride along on the cart. We brought Haley's plastic putter and ball and we let her hit on the green with daddy. She had so much fun. She wanted to get out of the cart everytime it stopped and we had to remind her she could only hit when we got to the part where the flag was. She lasted about 1.5 hours and then we came home. The people in front of us were playing really slow, so there was a lot of sitting still in the cart and she didnt like that too much! AJ is hoping he can teach her how to play golf as she gets older, so he can sneak away to the course more often with her.

My friends Jhanna and Carrie Anne threw a shower for Cooper. I got a lot of nice things for him. They did a wagon theme and even got a cute red wagon for me. We have already taken the wagon on a walk. Haley loves to sit in it and points to the other seat and says 'Cooper sit here". She is going to be such a good big sister.

Potty Training

When we got back from Dallas, I decided to potty train Haley. My aunt sent me a 3 day guide she found online, so I decided to try it. It worked great!!! Haley didnt wear any kind of bottoms other than panties for 3 days so I could tell if she started to go. I bought Elmo panties and an Elmo seat for the big potty so she likes sitting on Elmo and wearing Elmo panties. If anyone asks her about the "big girl potty" she always says "Elmo panties". We still have a few accidents, but Haley has not been in any kind of diaper or pullup since Monday. Even at naptime and bedtime!! I know we will probably still have some accidents, but I think she really gets it! We gave her either a dum dum sucker or a few sprees everytime she went, so that was a definate help. She loves candy!!

She also has become quite the "Miss Priss'. She loves playing dress up. She likes to put on her high heels and walk around the house. She got a princess crown for her birthday and she wants that on most of the time too. She even gets her purses and bags and walks around with them.

She looked so funny and yet cute at the same time when she combined the no shorts and high heals during the 1st three potty training days that I couldnt help but take a pic of her!! She will probably kill me when she gets older.

Trip to Dallas

Haley and I flew to Dallas for the week to visit my grandparents. AJ had training for work in Ann Arbor, MI the same week, so it worked out great. We had fun just hanging out with them. We did a little shopping and even went to the Fort Worth Zoo. Haley hadnt been to the zoo since she was 9 months old, so she liked seeing all the animals. She didnt want to sit in the stroller very much, because she couldnt see very well, so I ended up holding her a lot. I was very tired by the end of the day. Between the hot temps and being 24 weeks pregnant, holding a 2 year old isnt easy!!

Beach Trip 2009

We went to Panama City Beach for the week this summer with two other families. We met both families through the playgroup Haley and I joined. We have a lot of fun hanging out with them, so decided a week at the beach would be fun. Both families have little girls around Haleys age. The Rowans have Lily that will be 2 in September and Davis that was born in April and the Andersons have McKenzie that was 2 last December and have another little girl Juliana due in October. We rented a 4 bedroom condo and cooked in half the time for dinner and went out to eat the other nights. We had pretty good weather. One day we went to St. Andrews Park so the girls could play in the lagoon area for the day. They loved it!!

Happy 4th of July

Haley, Bits(my mom) and I got up the morning of the 4th and went to the little 4th of July parade in downtown Braselton. AJ was playing in a golf tournament so he wasnt able to go with us. It was definately a small town parade that only lasted about 10 minutes, but Haley liked watching the people go by. She even got some candy that was thrown out.

We watched the Chateau Elan fireworks from our sideyard. This has been great the past few years. We get to hangout with our neighbors and watch fireworks without having to deal with the crowds or traffic afterwards. The growth of the trees each year is making it harder, but we can still see them. We will have to move to the front yard next year to see.

AJ's parents came down for Haley's birthday and to spend a few days with us. We had fun with them, just wish it had been longer. Hopefully we will get to see them again soon - maybe even before Cooper gets here.

My moms parents were in town for a week at the end of June. We had fun spending time with them. Haley has starting calling them Papa and Nana, because their other great-granddaughter calls them that.

2 year old checkups

I took Haley to the dentist for the 1st time and she HATED it! You would have thought they were killing her when they tried to look in her mouth. The funny thing is, we brush her teeth almost every night and she is fine with it. The dentist finally pryed her mouth open to at least get flouride on her teeth. We will try again in 6 months. Hopefully by the time she really needs it, she wont be so scared.

I also took her to the doctor for her 2 year checkup. She got a few shots, but everything else looked good. She was 25 lbs and 34 inches tall. That put her in the 28%tile for weight and 62%tile for height. Hopefully she will always stay tall and skinny! :)

Georgia Aquarium

Haley and I went to the aquarium with my parents, grandparents and Courtney. She loved seeing all the fish. We had been one other time with her last year, but she wasnt old enough to really enjoy it. I cant wait to take her back again to see more fish.

Haley's 2nd Birthday!

We just had a few friends and family over for Haley's 2nd birthday. Since it is so hot in the summer, I decided to set up a baby pool, sprinkler and a few other water toys in the backyard for the kids to play with. She had a great time playing with everyone, opening her presents and eating cupcakes. AJ's parents were in town and my moms parents were also in town, so she had lots of people here!!

Swim Lessons

We put Haley in swimming lesson through the county’s parks and recreation department. The first night she wasn’t too sure about it and was pretty hesitant for me not to be holding her at all times. By the end of the two weeks (6 classes), we couldn’t keep her out of the water. She loves to “swim”. She isn’t capable of actually swimming, but she will glide between AJ and I in the water and she also will jump to us from the side and go all the way under while holding her breath. She is such a little fish. We have been going to the pool almost daily, so she has gotten a pretty good tan also!

We went and did a 3D ultrasound to find out what our new baby is going to be. The ultrasound wasn’t very good, so I will wait til the 20 week ultrasound to post pics, but we did find out that Haley is going to have a little BROTHER! We have decided to name him Cooper James Lambert. We both like the name Cooper, and then I wanted to use my grandfather, dads and brothers name for his middle name. We will probably call him “Coop”, but it will only be after Haley’s speech gets better because when she tries to say “Coop” now, it comes out “Poop”.

After the ultrasound, AJ, Haley and I, my dad and mom and Matthew and Courtney went to Ippolitos for dinner. I guess this will be the Hale tradition that my brothers can continue, because we went to Ipps with everyone after we found out what Haley was also.

Weekend Getaway

AJ and I went out of town for 2 days/1 night with Matthew and Courtney. I found a great deal for Callaway Gardens, and booked it for AJ and I and then Matthew decided that he and Courtney would go too. We had a lot of fun spending the weekend with them without having to worry about Haley. It is only the 2nd time we have ever left her overnight. The first time was only for a little bit. This time it was almost 2 whole days. She did great with my parents, but I sure missed her.

Haley decided she needed to help both grandmothers make homemade icecream. She then went outside and helped both grandfathers, Uncle Matthew and Daddy put together her early birthday present from Grams and Pop. She calls it "Haley's house".

When Boppa and Daddy hit golf balls in the backyard, she thought she needed to get in on the action also. What a funny girl!

Independent Girl

Haley no longer wants to ride in her car while we push her, she thinks she needs to push the car. She is becoming so independent. I hope this continues once the baby is here - it will sure help things for me!!

Gwinnett Braves Opening Day

The Atlanta Braves Triple A baseball team has relocated to Gwinnett. The stadium is about 15 minutes from our house.

My mom got tickets for opening day, so we went to the game. The outfield seats are all "lawn seats", so that is where we sat so Haley would have more room to move around. The Braves lost, but we still had fun at the game!

We got up and went to an outdoor Easter sunrise service at a park. After we came home, Haley napped and then looked for her eggs in the backyard. She got so excited everytime she would spot an egg and then she would run over to it. She ended up having AJ hold her basket, so she could always keep one egg in her hand while she picked up another egg. About halfway through she stopped and told AJ "open". She wanted to eat the candy inside! We went to my mom and dads for lunch and Haley got more eggs there.

She is now very into Elmo, so we got her an Elmo's World dvd, book and stuffed animal. She would watch Elmo 24 hours a day if we would let her!

Waking up from naptime

I laughed so hard when I saw this. AJ went to get Haley up from her nap and this is what we were greeted with. It was the first time she tried to take her clothes off...her shirt got stuck and then she got frustrated that she couldnt get it all the way off. She also threw everything out of her crib, including her lovey and paci.

After months of trying, we are finally expecting again! Haley is going to be a big sister this fall. My due date is November 20, 2009! We are so excited for our new addition and for Haley to take on the role of "Big Sister".

Haley likes to get on Harley and ride him like a horse. We are so lucky that he is such a calm, good natured dog. He just lets her do it. I am not sure he likes it, but he is so good with her.

My Nanny and Granddaddy came in town for the week. They stayed with us for a couple of days and Haley had fun playing with them. We went to the park and she loved running around showing them everything. Granddaddy even helped Haley up on some of the bigger toys at the playground.

Haley thinks she is as old as the girls in our neighborhood. They range in age from 2nd grade to 4th grade and Haley doesnt understand she is younger. They play so good with her and they absolutely adore her. Today they had her lay on the ground and they traced her body with sidewalk chalk and then colored it in to try to match what she had on.

Haley wanted to bring her trike inside so we could push her around. After she got bored of riding, she decided that she wanted to push me around. I had to use my feet to help her, but she thought she was so big while she was "pushing" me around the kitchen!

We got our first real snow of Haley's lifetime on Sunday March 1st. The snowflakes were bigger and wetter than I have ever seen. Haley had fun for a little while, and then got tired of being cold.

After getting the professional pics done at the beginning of the month and realizing that I couldnt afford any pictures from the lady, I took Haley to JC Penney. I dressed her in one of the same outfits and tried to get some of the sames poses/shots. They definitely didnt turn out as good, but they were good enough for me. Here are some of the proofs!

Gymnastics Class

I signed up Haley for a 6 week gymnastics class through the county parks and recreation department. Two of our friends from the playgroup were also doing it, so I thought it would be fun. Haley seemed to like it, but I was very disappointed. After going to the real gymnastics place for classes a few times, I expected a lot more. The class was more dancing and singing than it was anything else. The teacher brought in a slide, some balls, a wedge and a tunnel for the kids, but no real gymnastics equipment. I learned my lesson - you get what you pay for. We did have fun seeing friends every week, so I guess it was worth it.

Haley gets such an attitude so quickly if she doesnt get her way! She wanted to go outside, and I told her no, so she got my sunglasses and keys and went to the door and cried. When I finally gave in, she walked out the front door with my keys, no sign of tears, with a look that said "I got my way". Boy are we going to have such a hard time in a few years.

Valentines Day Weekend in Chicago

We went to Chicago for the long Valentines Day/Presidents Day Weekend. Haley was really good on the airplane. It was snowing when we got in, so Haley got to play in real snow. She looked like a big marshmallow all bundled up and didnt keep her mittens on very well. She had a lot of fun playing in the snow with her cousins. Taylor sledded down the hill with her, and she loved it! She even helped Grandma put dishes away! :)

I found a website for a photographer that was doing free head shots to pass on to local clothing designers. The designers are looking for kids to model their clothes. I decided to take Haley to get her pics done. Why pass up free photos? She did so good and looked so cute! I took a few pics of my own when I got home, but she doesnt pose for me nearly as well. The photographer got some cute ones of her! The photographer had a contest for the cutest kid and Haley got 2nd out of 16!! Hopefully she will get used for some photo shoots. I would love for Haley to get free cute clothes out of it.

Little Gym Party

Haley was invited to a party at The Little Gym. The little girl Emma that I keep two days a week had the party. Haley had fun playing on all the gymnastics equipment.

1st Haircut

We took Haley to get her first haircut. I found a kids salon and took her there since they were used to dealing with kids. She was so serious when we put her in the chair. They salon had cute "chairs" for the kids to sit in. Haley sat in a firetruck. She wasnt sure about the "cape" that they put on to protect from the hair, but once the lady gave her a sucker and blew some bubble for her, she was fine. She still was very serious while the lady cut her hair. She wasnt quite sure what to think. I think it looks so cute. They cut the curls off the back, but now it is the same length all around and she looks like a toddler.

I finally took Haley for her 18 month appointment and she was only 22 lbs 13 oz (23rd percentile), but she was 32.5 inches tall (66th percentile).

Haley got a set of plastic golf clubs, so Uncle Matthew gave her a lesson in the backyard!

We also started to potty train Haley. It didnt go too well and I wasnt patient enough to stick with it. She just didnt get "it". I plan on trying again in the spring when it is warmer outside so she can run around without pants on.

I heard Haley walking around the house saying "cheese", when I found her, she had my little camera up to her face, "taking pictures". She is at such a fun age. She is starting to understand so much of what we say to her. I cant believe she is getting so big. She turned 1 1/2 last week.

Eckhoff Family Reunion - New Years

We went to FL for the week of New Years for a family reunion on A.J.'s side. It was a lot of fun. We stayed our first night with Tony and Dawn and then the next two at a hotel on the beach. Haley had so much fun hanging out with all her cousins and spending time with her grandparents. We took so many pictures and I had a hard time picking which ones to post, so I made a slideshow.

Merry Christmas

We had dinner at Matthew (and Courtney's) house for Christmas Eve. Both families came, and we had a lot of fun meeting Courtney's extended family. Mom and Dad spent the night with us so they could be here Christmas morning. Haley was a bit overwhelmed with all the presents. She only opened a few of them and then was more interested in playing in her playroom, then unwrapping the remainder. I think it took 3 or 4 days before everything was unwrapped. Santa brought Haley a big butterfly tent and she loves to play in it. It even has butterfly wings that came with it that Haley can wear. We loved being able to spend the day with family.

High School Friends

Every Christmas I get together with my high school friends and their husbands. This year everyone came to our house for dinner. There were two girls that couldnt make it, but it was still fun catching up with the ones that were there. Three of them now live out of town, so Christmas time is usually the only time everyone is back in town. I wish everyone didnt live so far away.

Haley's 1st Limo Ride

A.J. won a free 3 hour ride in a Hummer Limo, so we decided to ask our family and two families from our neighborhood to go with us to see the Lake Lanier Nights of Lights. We had a lot of fun riding in the limo. Haley loved leaning out the window while we were slowly driving through the lights.

Making Sugar Cookies for Santa

We went to a family Christmas Party with the playgroup. It was fun and there were so many people there! Haley had a great time running around with the kids and opening her present.

We have one cabinet in the kitchen that has toys in it for Haley. It seems to help keep her out of all the other ones. She keeps taking everything out of her cabinet and sitting in it, so I decided to play with her and close her in it. She loved it!

The Publix up the street from our house at Santa at the store. We took Haley up to sit on his lap. She wasnt too impressed with him, but she didnt cry, so I was happy. She loved her "Santa" dress!

Haley's New Table

We got Haley a new table and chairs for her playroom. It was supposed to be a Christmas present, but we decided to give it to her early since she wouldnt know the difference anyways. She loves pulling the chairs out and sitting at the table. She gets her sippy cup and brings it to the table and gets some of her toys out and plays with them as she sits at the table.

Haley loved the wrapped Christmas presents under the tree. She keeps sneaking presents into her playroom to open. She is so excited to see what is under the wrapping paper. I cant wait for Christmas morning to see what she thinks about opening so many presents.

Uncle Matthew's BIG Day!!

Matthew closed on his first house today! It is actually only about 7 houses down from us, so we are excited to have him as our new neighbor. He also asked Courtney to marry him! We are ECSTATIC that she is officially part of the family!! They are planning to get married sometime in May 2010 after she graduates with her teaching degree.

We had my dad's whole family at our house for Thanksgiving this year. We had fun hanging out with everyone. There are 20 of us total now (with Matthew's girlfriend Courtney included)! It is amazing to see how our family keeps growing. To think that almost 53 years ago, there were only Nanny and Granddaddy and now see what has become because of their love! I am so blessed to have such a great family!

Children's Museum

A.J. had the day off for Veteran's Day, so we spent the day as a family. We went shopping at Garden Ridge, ate lunch at the Varsity and then went to the Children's Museum downtown. Haley loved playing. She got mad when we would pick her up and take her to another section to play. She thought we were making her leave. It was so fun to play all day and not have to clean up the mess! :)

Haley LOVES the dogs. She makes a kissing type noise to try to get them to come to her and she pats her stomach. When I try to get the dogs I pat my leg to get them to come, so it is so cute to see her mimick me.

Haley was a bumble bee for Halloween. She looked so cute dressed up even though she didnt like the head part of the costume. We went to a Halloween party in the morning with the playgroup that we joined. There were about 25 kids there with their moms. Haley had a lot of fun and actually kept her costume on better there since the other kids were dressed up too. We just went trick-or-treating to a few houses around us, because Haley wasnt feeling very well. She is getting her canine teeth and is having a hard time getting them to cut through. We didnt have this many problems with the other 12 teeth combined, even the molars!

Pumpkin Patch(AGAIN) and Corn Maze

We went back to the pumpkin patch with our neighbors, The Creech's. They wanted to take some pictures there before we went to the corn maze. We got a few more cute pics of Haley. The corn maze was about 4 miles long. We had a lot of fun trying to find all the places inside to complete our punch card.

Apple Orchard

We picked up my mom on Sunday after church and drove to Ellijay, GA (about 1 1/2 hours north of us) to go apple picking. We found a great orchard called R & A that let us pick our own apples. The first orchard we stopped at cost $5 per person to pick your own apples and then you had to buy the apples you picked on top of that. Talk about a rip-off. We picked mostly Rome Apples. Haley was eating them as we walked around. It was a beautiful day to spend outside. I cant wait to make dried apples and an apple pie with the apples we picked!!

Columbus Day Weekend Beach Trip

We left EARLY Friday morning to drive to Panama City Beach. Matthew and Courtney followed us. We got there about 10:30am and spent the day on the beach. I have never been to PC when the water was so clear and there were no waves. It looked like you were at a lake. The water was so blue that you could look down and see all the ripples in the sand. There were also TONS of hermit crabs in the ocean. I have never actually seen them living in the ocean - usually they are just in cages at the touristy stores. We stayed in a 2 bedroom condo that overlooked the water. It was so nice just to be lazy for 5 days! We left to come home around noon on Tuesday. Jacob and Mom were there the whole time with us, but Matthew and Courtney had to leave on Sunday to go back to work/school and Dad left Monday afternoon to go back to work. We even had a photographer take our pics on the beach for us. I will post the proofs in another post.

A.J. decided to leave Wachovia and got a new job at a small community bank. He will be off for two weeks while in transition. Haley has loved having him home. We went to the park to play one afternoon and we have also been just hanging out at home. We are going to the beach for the long weekend with my family, so that should be fun too.

We went to the park with Nicki and Emma. Haley had fun playing with Emma. I may actually start keeping Emma a few days a week when her mom goes back to work. They are two months apart and play together really well.
