A.J.'s parents come to visit

A.J.'s parents came to visit us and meet their new granddaughter. They had planned to come at the end of July - thinking Haley would be about a week old. They didn't think she was going to come a month early. We enjoy their visits when they are here - and wish they didnt live so far away. We cant wait to see them again in September.

More visitors

My grandparents on my moms side came from Oregon to visit. They couldn't believe how small Haley is. She is a month old and a lot bigger than she was. They wont be back again until Christmas. By then, they wont even recognize her!

Bryan Stover's 30th Birthday

We went to A.J.'s fraternity "big brother's" 30th surprise party. It was a lot of fun and we got to show off our new addition. Everyone loved her.

Our friend Karen Pillow had her camera there, so she took some pictures of Haley. She is 9 days old in these pictures. Karen is a great photographer and we hope to have her take some family pictures for us when Haley gets a little bit older. Check out her website! http://www.picturelily.blogspot.com/

4th of July

A.J. and Uncle Matthew ran the Peachtree Road Race on the morning of the 4th. My mom, dad, Haley, "aunt" Courtney and I went to support the guys! It was a lot of fun. I think my mom and I are going to run it next with with the guys.
Waiting to see them run by.

After the race. Hanging out in the Wachovia tent!

After the run - we went to my parents for the afternoon and saw Nanny and Granddaddy there. They got to hold their GREAT granddaughter for the first time!

Back to the hospital...

When we went for Haley's check-up when she was 4 days old - they admitted us to the hospital. Haley had jaundice and her billirubin count was 21. We stayed overnight in the hospital room with her. It was the hardest thing to see our sweet little girl attached to all the wires and machines.

She dropped to 4lbs. and 7ozs. during this ordeal. She was such a little thing - but quite the trooper. I think she was stronger than I was!

After 24 hours under the blue lights, her billirubin had come down and they released us.
Thanks to everyone for all of their prayers during this tough time for us.

Haley's arrival

The doctors put me on bed rest for 3 weeks, and then when I was 36 weeks along, Haley decided she didnt want to wait any longer.

Haley arrived on Thursday, June 28th at 3:58 p.m.

She was 5lbs. 7ozs. and 18 inches long.

She is so beautiful. I now believe in "love at first sight".

My mom and A.J. were in the room when Haley was delivered. They were a great team! Without both of them, there is no way I could have done it without an epidural. My dad and brother Jacob were waiting anxiously outside the room and couldnt wait to come in to see Haley. My brother Matthew arrived a few hours later - after he got out of class.
